Harlem Globetrotters to Honor Basketball Legend Marty Blake First Ever Recipient of Saperstein Award
 (PHOENIX, March 28, 2000) – One of the top authorities in college and professional basketball for the past 50 years will be honored by the Harlem Globetrotters during their first ever appearance at Final Four Weekend in Indianapolis on April 1st. Mannie Jackson, the Owner and Chairman of the Globetrotters, announced today that legendary basketball executive and scout Marty Blake will receive the inaugural ”Saperstein Award” at halftime of the NABC Roundball Challenge, a game pitting the nation’s top college seniors against the Harlem Globetrotters at Conseco Fieldhouse.

Basketball Hall of Fame Announces Prestigious Bunn Lifetime Achievement Award Recipient
 SPRINGFIELD, MA - (July 19, 2005) – Marty Blake, longtime Director of Scouting for the NBA will receive the 2005 Bunn Lifetime Achievement Award from the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame during Enshrinement festivities September 8-10 in Springfield, Massachusetts.
